The 12th Wellness Sharing Session organized by the PA Active Ageing Council was held last evening (15th March 2011) at NTUC Auditorium, One Marina Blvd. It has been a very interesting session with Tanjong Pagar CC and Marine Parade CC sharing their experiences in promoting the Wellness Programme. Besides, the sharing there were performances such as the Opera show by Queenstown CC, 'conductorise' exercise by Tanjong Pagar CC, Liu Tong Quan by Potong Pasir CC, Belt exercise by Sengkang West CC.
Guest of Honour was Senior Minister, Mr. Goh Chok Tong. Minister in Prime Minister Office, Mr. Lim Boon Heng who is also the Deputy Chairman of PA delivered the opening address. Others who were present include PA CED Mr. Yam Ah Mee, Mayors Teo Ho Pin and Zainal Abidin, MPs Heng Chee How, Seng Han Tong, Seah Kian Peng. Kebun Baru CC SCEC's Adult Ballet Dance Group was invited as guests and during his speech, Mr. Lim Boon Heng specially mentioned Kebun Baru's Adult Ballet Dance Group. They were given a standing ovation by those present. One of the members was presented with the Senior Citizen Volunteer Award by Senior Minister, Mr. Goh Chok Tong. Kebun Baru AAC Secretary, Ms Lily Lim; SCEC Chairman, Mr. Francis Leong and three members from SCEC, namely, Ms Foo Ngap Luan, Mdm. Chng Kim Lan, and Mdm. Tan Wee Peng were there to lend their support.
