Jointly organized by Kebun Baru CC SCEC, Villas and Vista NCs, a Health Screening exercise together with Ear & Eye Screenings was held this morning at Sembawang Baptist Church, 140 Casuarina Road, of Upper Thomson Road. A total of 45 senior citizens (aged 50 and above) gone through the Health Screening with 50 for the Ear Screening and 55 for Eye Screening. As this is the first time Health Screening has been held at a private estate i.e. at Sembawang Baptist Church in our attempt to bring the venue nearer to residents the response has been rather disappointing.
The service provider for Health Screen is Mt. Alvernia Hospital, Eye Screen is conducted by Eagles Eye Centre, and Ear Screen is Alexandra Hospital. Dr. Lim Wee Kiat, MP for Sembawang GRC was on hand to do the Eye Screen. Hence, it was a mis-opportunity for those who did not make it to the screening on this occassion.
